Automated Rules: Smart GPSR Assignment

Automated Rules are powerful time-saving features that automatically assign GPSR compliance data (manufacturers, responsible persons, and importers) to your products based on their vendor. Instead of manually setting compliance information for each product, you can create rules that do this automatically whenever products are added or updated.

📋 How Automated Rules Work
The Process Flow

1. You create a rule: Define which vendor should get which GPSR data
2. Product webhook triggers: When a product is created or updated in your store
3. Rule matching: System checks if the product's vendor matches any active rules
4. Automatic assignment: Matching GPSR data is automatically applied to the product
5. Instant compliance: Your product is now GPSR compliant without manual intervention

Rule ComponentsEach automated rule consists of:

• Vendor Name: The product vendor to match (e.g., "Acme Supplies", "Global Tech")
• Manufacturer: Which manufacturer to assign to matching products
• Responsible Person: Which responsible person to assign
• Importer: Which importer to assign (if applicable)
• Status: Whether the rule is active or disabled

🚀 Creating Your First Automated Rule
Step-by-Step Setup
1. Navigate to Automated Rules:

• - Go to your GPSR compliance dashboard
• - Click on "Automated Rules" in the main navigation
• - You'll see your current rules list (empty if you're new)

2. Click "Add Rule"

• The rule creation modal will open
• You'll see fields for vendor and GPSR assignments

3. Enter Vendor Information

• Vendor Field: Type or select the vendor name from your existing products
• Auto-Complete: The system shows suggestions from your current product vendors
• Exact Matching: The vendor name must match exactly (case-insensitive)
• Blank Vendor: You can leave vendor blank to catch products with no vendor

4. Assign GPSR Data

• Manufacturer: Select from your existing manufacturers (required)
• Responsible Person: Select from your responsible persons (optional)
• Importer: Select from your importers (optional)
• Note: At least manufacturer must be selected for the rule to be valid

5. Enable the Rule

• Check "Rule enabled" to activate the rule immediately
• Unchecked rules are saved but won't process products

6. Save the Rule

• Click "Save Rule" to create and activate the automation
• The rule will immediately start processing new products
